Kegalu Vidyalaya Old Boy’s Association’s cricket development sub-committee consisting of experienced Old boys in the field was formed recently for the development of cricket in the school and its first meeting was held at the school recently.
Membership Development Committee, which is a sub-committee appointed to facilitate the work of the Old Boy’s Association.

At the request of the Kegalu Vidyalaya OBA, the distinguished alumnus Rear Admiral Keerthi Wijebandara conducted a three-day residential training camp for the under-19 cricket team by an expert cricket coach of the Navy.
Anusha Samaranayake, a former Sri Lankan fast bowler and a special fast ball coach, conducted a training session for the under 19 cricket team.
The Old Boy’s Association donated a lot of Cricket equipment to the school recently.
In conjunction with the 81st anniversary of Kegalu Vidyalaya, a six-a-side friendly cricket tournament was held by the Old Boy’s Association on 12.02.2023 at the Kegalu Vidyalaya’s Stadium. 16 Old boy teams participated to the tournament. The work of the 70’x25′ two storied building was started on 13/01/2023 at the auspicious moment. The financial contribution of all the construction work is done by the Kegalu Vidyalaya Old Boy’s Association.

Old Boy Saman Dharmaratne, who was awarded the title of Kegalu College Alumni Colonel, gave advice and congratulations to our cadet brothers participating in the Herman loose trophy tournament.
As the new principal of Kegalu Vidyalaya, Mr. Rohan Hemantha, who worked as the Kegalle Regional Director of Education and Ke/Dehiowita Regional Director of Education in the past, has taken over. Our best wishes to him.
